MUIC Kansai has opened in the center of Osaka City.

MUIC Kansai, which is established by Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc. (MUFG), is a physical innovation hub to provide new connections with companies and people involved in tourism and to solve various problems. It operates 24hours a day, 365 days a year, and has co-working space, shared offices and meeting rooms. Mr. Junzo Tateno, President of Osaka Business Development Agency(OBDA), stated that he welcomes the establishment of MUIC Kansai as one of the necessary pieces to support the startup ecosystem in Osaka at the opening ceremony held on February 22, 2021.

It is also expected that this membership-based facility promotes open innovations between  big corporations and startups for  the success of the Osaka-Kansai Japan Expo 2025. In August 2020, OBDA entered into Memorandum of Cooperation on creation of the startup ecosystem in Osaka with Osaka Pref., Osaka City, Sakai City and MUFG Bank.

OBDA , the secretariat of Osaka Startup Ecosystem Consortium, will cooperate with MUIC Kansai closely to accelerate innovations in Osaka and Kansai.
